The blog pushes back on techno-utopianism, but with a sense of humor and open-mindedness about new technology. Many of us want an egalitarian, sustainable, and humanistic technology revolution...but that's not what we're getting.

My name is Daniel Vollaro, and like many people, I have a complicated relationship with technology. I have always been fascinated by technology, but lately, I see a new high-tech dystopia taking shape all around me. Some of us want a slower world, not a faster one. Technology that doesn't cross the "creepy line," or even come near it. Technology that enhances our humanity rather than alienating us. I want to reclaim my mind from the advertisers, dopamine hackers, and billionaire blowhards who are re-engineering our society. I want a tech revolution that isn't trying to strip mine my data and attention.
